New Cars and Stuff
So my family is having car issues.... lots and lots of car issues.
And this postcard made me think of that fact....
1. My neice, Alex, turned 16 last month and is now driving. My dad claims she has a lead foot. I have no idea if this is true as I haven't driven with her.... YET!
2. My brother gave up his his SUV to Alex to drive and is now in the process of looking for a solid used vehicle to drive.
3. Dad's car is going to need repairs.
4. I just bought a new vehicle.
So, lately, we've all been talking about cars. And for the record, I hate car shopping... I'd rather have my teeth cleaned!

I wrote the local paper this morning to see if they would be interested in doing a feature story for Dad. I don't know if anything will come of it but I thought it would be fun to have Dad read about this site in the paper.
Every morning, Dad would walk out the door and get the paper with the family dog. It was one of those things that you just KNEW was going to happen every day. While there is no family dog, Dad still goes out the door every day to get the paper.
Wouldn't it be great if he opened it up on 9/30 and found out about this site!

He's Starting To Catch On
I asked Dad tonight if he had any good key stories. He said that he wasn't getting keys anymore but still getting postcards. He never said a single word about the band-aids. He did, however, mention that he knows someone is feeding information to "the masses" because someone mentioned the new front door. (ah yeah, Dad... that would be me feeding that information!)
I'll try to steal some more pictures this week-end.

We Aren't In Kansas Any More
Can you believe I have not spoken to my father in days? Well, that isn't EXACTLY true... I have but we haven't had any conversation of any length. He hasn't said a word about the band-aids. I am thinking that when we go visit them this Sunday, I'm going to "ask for a bandaid" and see what happens.
I am also thinking about the big revel. I have some ideas but need to talk to Will about them.... and want to make sure we have another "parent" in the waiting wings as well.
