my blog is getting some undeserved attention today, thanks to an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Hopefully some of today's traffic can be pointed over here and help Kay get more stuff!

Postcard Project Update - Sunday, October 10, 2004

Hi All!

I havent heard anything yet since my last post, so knowing her she probably hasnt checked her mail since the note from Dr. Tim (and chalked it up to a prank from me or someone else). I am guessing the tune will change this time when she goes to her box and has 15 or 20 things (or more hopefully!), and she will start checking her box daily. If not, I will most likely get some assistance from the manager at the complex and have her print up a note we can put on all the apartments in her building, "reminding" the patrons to please check the mail everyday, as the it makes it difficult for the postman otherwise. I think they will go along with that and on complex letterhead it should not arouse any suspicion.

Im excited to see the fabric idea is taking off, as I think that will throw her off my scent and maybe onto someone in her quilting group.

Here are some things you can ask her about as well:
How many bears now in her bear collection?
How is work at the school?
How is her nephew and nieces?
Does her sister still have all the cats?
Has she gotten a new car or is she still driving the green Taurus?
What is she doing for halloween?
Has she finished a quilt lately?
Do her folks still live in Redding?
Does she still work at Blanche Sprentz Elementary, or is she at a new school?

Hope all is well in your parts of the world and I look forward to telling you about the next round of mail as soon as I know more.

Dont forget to tell friends and family to send my mom a postcard!

Love,
Rick
