Postcard Project Update - Saturday, April 10, 2004

Hey everyone you'll be happy to know that I went out to Mom's yesterday, and in the time there I fixed their computer and set up an email acct for her husband. He's got the scanner runnin' and he scanned some pics this morning while Mom was at a garage sale. He's gonna email them to me later on (hopefully) this weekend, so we'll start getting the goods now!!

As for the weekend, Mom didn't mention the cards but once, when she said: My admirers have tapered off. I only get one or two things a day now. At one time I was getting ten a day
C'mon everyone, its time to buck up for another stamp!

Sue left me these comments when she signed up: Hey, 50 isn't old. I am only a short 18 months away and I don\'t get confused. I prefer to call it brain fog and if that doesn\'t work, I just claim to be feeble. Gets em every time! LMAO Really incredible brain cells at work. No wonder your poor mom is confused after you two boys. OMG.. I too, have two boys. Your mom and I may become great friends .. after all she is in show me state of Missouri. I too was raised in the midwest state of Illinios but I ran like hell and now living among the perverts of Arizona... oh and did I mention loving it! Carry on children ... I wanna play too!

Sue kicks ass. Best comment yet.

Postcard Project Update - Thursday, April 08, 2004

Cassie tells me: Not only do I think this the funniest, most clever and seemingly pointless pranks I have heard of ever, ever in life… I am also amused and amazed that not one but TWO people used the word “hoot” on your funny correspondence page. UH… keep up the good work??!!
Hehe... thanks, Cassie.

Maggie says: told my 11 yr old son about this and of course he said "can we do it?" with a delighted grin on his face! :)
Good. let's get juveniles in on it. That'll be fun.

Karen says: I sent her pictures of my cat along with receipes. I have a beautiful cat. Ask her is she can frame the pictures and put them on the wall..
I don't know if Mom likes cats or not. Personally I think cats were simply created for men to kick.

Melissa responds to the April newsletter: I am loving this!! The April idea is great...made me laugh out loud! To top it off, I've got several trips planned this year and will be sending postcards from: Tennessee, North Carolina, Indiana, and Hawaii! Anything I can do to add to the fun!
Thanks, Melissa. Send her stuff from everywhere. And tell her you'll be dropping by soon.

If for some crazy, psychotic, unknown reason you don't subscribe to the Postcard Project newsletter, I just posted the April edition online. Go read it, slacker.

Also, did you know that we now have four galleries worth of pics to look at? Might be five soon. Send me your scanned mail and I'll stick it on the site, too.

Got an email from Mom's husband, Jim today. Check this out...

She finally got one pertaining to LyLa's hidden picture. Now she's convinced that it is Rene, no wait its Will and Rene, no its Kevin and Rene, no its.......you get the idea. She has even given me the "LOOK", She's just not sure who it is but that it's a member of the family. She got one from Martha Stewart about decorating tree stumps, which Led her to Kevin.

If you really want to blow her mind send one about her buying baby cloths for my niece, Nicki's, best friend named Beth who is pregnant. This would throw her off her own family for a while. Oh well, just a thought.

Be careful, though, folks. Please make the references to things we discuss here somewhat obscure, so it's not so obvious. Kev was there last week, and he was the only one that knew about the red tree stumps - which was good for me, I claimed not to know about them. But someone sent a card referencing it and it was way too obvious considering he was the only one that knew...

I'll try to post the newsletter today, heck I'm only 8 days behind...

Postcard Project Update - Monday, April 05, 2004

I've been really busy lately and didn't talk to Mom at all this past weekend. I haven't seen her in several weeks, so I really have no new news. My brother saw her last week, as he mentioned. Maybe I can get him to post a few of the things he saw...
