The Postcards for Mom Pranksters

Mom has been to the PO Box!

Mom left me 3 messages yesterday asking me to call. When I finally called, her first question was "Do you know anything about a PO Box?" I denied knowledge. She proceeded to tell me about a key that had arrived in the mail...well, you know the story. She figured it must be from someone she knows because "Anne" was spelled correctly. Now let me take a moment to point out here that Mom lives in Maryland, which is near Washington, DC, which is a town that's a little sensitive about unidentified mail. But Mom has a curious nature, so after much hemming and hawing she finally went to the box and discovered 2 items:

1. Barenaked Ladies CD (sent by Wendy)

2. A letter from Julie with the "key to her ex-boyfriends car".

Mom read me the entire letter over the phone. (BTW, great letter Julie!) She was laughing, but she's definitely confused (and not just because she was unfamiliar with the word "snark").

I managed to convince Mom that I knew nothing, but she thinks Wendy is behind it. Mom noted a few reasons that Wendy might want to prank her (amongst other things, the 4-foot tall statue of Buddha she gave Wendy for Christmas was mentioned). So far, Mom thinks there are two options here: either Wendy is behind this, or she's being stalked by some weird woman named Julie.

Can't wait until she gets more mail!
