The Postcards for Mom Pranksters

I will be getting the P.O. box tomorrow. Hooray!

I am going to put a copy of the Barenaked Ladies CD that has the Chimpanzee song in it inside. I will send the address to Will via e-mail -- I'm sure he'll get to to you all quickly. Hopefully there will be mail waiting for Mom as soon as she gets the key from Will in the mail.

Will is going to be vague in his note to Mom, but I have asked him to let her know the key is from someone she knows who likes her and arranged to have the key sent to her anonymously. I'd hate for her to freak out.

Coincidences that tell me this was meant to be:
(1) The charity the $ went to is in the county our family lived in when Mom was in college at George Mason University and my sister, Amy and I were in elementary and middle school.

(2) Mom has relatives who live near Will, which should make for a good red herring on the origin of the prank.

(3) I found this website because I was looking for Chimpanzee postcards and trying to think of a way to prank a friend by mailing lots and lots of them from around the world.

Answers to your questions:Mom likes what she calls "teacher clothes". Easter sweaters with bunnies on them, Halloween sweaters with pumpkins on them, dresses with fish on them to go boating,THEMED SOCKS. She's a real sucker for themed socks.

Mom's glasses have rose-colored LENSES! She literally looks at the world through rose-colored glasses. Except when she's got her shades on:)

Chaz is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Sunny is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Mom's cat, Princess, died a few weeks ago and she misses her very much. She was a dilute calico.

Mom has two kids, me and my younger sister, Amy. Mom's grandmother, who she calls Aunt Ruby is in her late nineties and lives in Arkansas. Mom's Mom is also alive and was orignially from Missouri.

Even though Mom's got a Psych degree, don't mess with her TOO much -- she's going to be shocked enough by the whole thing as it is, I'm sure. My sister thinks she's going to freak out and I'll have to pull the plug. I think Mom is tougher than that.

Things you can ask Mom:
Ask her how Carl is doing. My father's brother Carl lived with Mom and Dad for several months after having heart surgery about three years ago.

Ask her if she's got any cicadas yet.

Ask her when she's planning another trip to Arkansas.

Ask her how her dog Sunny is feeling, Sunny has a collapsing trachea that can't be fixed. Poor pup.

Ask her if she's done any art projects with (her nephew) Ben lately.

Ask her which Redskins games she's going to this year.
